Chanderi Eco Retreat is being organized by Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board to showcase the rich heritage and exquisite handloom traditions of Chanderi. The objective of the event is to establish Chanderi as a major tourist destination at the national level. Also, the aim is to showcase the beauty and craftsmanship of the clothes woven by the weavers of Chanderi and to make them available in the market. Chanderi sarees are famous across the world for their fine weave and artistic embroidery. During the event, tourists coming from all over the country are getting acquainted with the local tradition and culture along with adventure and entertainment.

Here the specially designed tent city ‘Eco Retreat’ is giving the guests the experience of modern comforts amidst natural beauty. Cultural workshops and musical programs are also being organized here to promote the local cultures of the state. Here visitors are also able to taste Bundelkhandi and Baghelkhandi cuisine. During the festival, a local tour to textile and craft tourism village Pranpur, 4 kilometers away from Chanderi, is also being organised. For those looking for relief from mental stress, positivity and relaxation, wellness and yoga sessions are also being organized during the festival, through which visitors are able to achieve harmony in mind, body and soul. Cricket and volleyball tournaments and indoor sports activities are also being organized for the guests at the venue. There is also a kids zone here for children.

A three-day itinerary is being organized for the visitors during the Chanderi Mahotsav. In these three days, guests are able to get acquainted with the history, heritage and culture of Chanderi.
