Tulsi Vivah

Tulsi Vivah: 2 November

Tulsi Vivah

Tulsi Vivah is a sacred Hindu festival that marks the ceremonial marriage of the Tulsi plant (holy basil) to Lord Vishnu, often in the form of Shaligram or Krishna. It symbolizes the end of the monsoon and the beginning of the auspicious wedding season in Hindu tradition. The festival is usually celebrated on the Ekadashi or Dwadashi of the Kartik month (October–November). Devotees decorate the Tulsi plant like a bride and perform rituals with devotion and joy. Tulsi Vivah is considered highly auspicious for family prosperity and marital harmony.
