Parshuram Jayanti is an important festival of Hindus. It is celebrated on the third day of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month. He was the sixth avtar of Vishnu.

There is a strong belief the merits gained by good acts on this day is permanent. Except fasting, procession and satsang is also arranged in most of the towns of Northern India.
