Dev Dipawali: 5th November
Dev Dipawali
Dev Deepawali, also known as the “Diwali of the Gods,” is celebrated every year on the full moon night (Kartik Purnima) in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. It marks the victory of Lord Shiva over the demon Tripurasura. On this day, the ghats of the Ganga River are illuminated with millions of diyas, creating a divine and mesmerizing view. Devotees offer prayers, light lamps, and take holy dips in the Ganga, believing it brings spiritual cleansing and blessings from the deities
