World Health Day is held annually on the 7th April to celebrate the creation day of the World Health Organization. This day has been celebrated since 1950.

The day is being observed with the aim of making health facilities accessible to all in need, at the right time and also in the right place, not too far from the community and easily accessible by road and transport.
