Every year on September 20th, RPF Raising Day commemorates the day the Railway Protection Force was elevated as an Armed Force of the Union. In 1985, the Railway Protection Force Act was amended to create the RPF as a union armed force.

This day serves as a reminder that the RPF is essential in ensuring passengers safety as well as in  protecting the railway property. We must appreciate and salute them for their service and bravery.
