Odisha Day, also known as Utkala Dibasa, is observed on April 1st in the Indian state of Odisha to commemorate the state’s formation as a separate state from Bihar and Orissa Province in 1936.
The state has a long and rich history. People had to fight a lot to gain their independence and identity. To celebrate the struggle and achievements of the people, the state government organizes Utkal Divas or Odisha Day.
