Bhagat Singh was a prominent freedom fighter in the Independence movement.He was born on September 28, 1907, in Punjab, India, to a Sikh family.

He was motivated to join the movement by the fact that both his father and uncle were freedom fighters. When he was thirteen years old, he devoted his entire life in the Independence movement.

His fellow comrades referred to him as  Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh frequently. He made a significant contribution in achieving independence from British rule and served as a national symbol of patriotism. He occasionally contributed articles to the Kirti Kisan Party magazine.He was accused of murdering a British police officer. Along with his companions Rajguru and Sukhdev, he was put to death on March 23, 1931.
