Sarhul – Worship of Sal Tree, Worship of Nature

Sarhul is one of the unique tribal festivals in India, especially in state of Jharkhand, every year celebrated in the spring season. This year it will be celebrated on 4th April.

On this occasion thousands of men, women and children wear unique headdresses, turbans, anklets, bracelets and henna tattoos, gather in their towns and villages to worship sal tree.This three-day festival is most lively on the final day, when tribal representatives and visitors dance through the streets in a shobha yatra.
