Ramdhari Singh Dinkar was born on 23rd September, 1908 in Bengal Presidency, British India (now in Begusarai district in Bihar. He was an Indian Hindi poet, essayist and academic. As a student, he studied history, philosophy, Hindi, Sanskrit, politics, English, Maithili, Urdu, and Bengali. He was three times elected to Rajya Sabha. He wrote Parshuram Ki Pratiksha, Koyla aur Kavitwa, Mritti Tilak, and Aatma Ki Aankhen in 1960s. 24th April, 1974 he died in Begusarai at the age of 65.
