International Translation Day is observed annually on September 30 to raise awareness of the field of translation and to honour the contributions of linguists. In our rapidly changing world, it helps in nurturing cultural heritage and respect for one another.

Translator and interpreter is to make it easier for people to communicate with one another. The advancement of business, science, medicine, technology, international law, politics, and a wide range of other fields is impacted by both interpreters and translators. This will enable everyone in the world to learn from one another, which will be advantageous to society as a whole.

And hence, International Translation Day emphasises the importance of translation to support the profession and encourage understanding of intangible cultural heritage and respect for one another in our globalising society.
