“Where tigers thrive, it is a sign that the ecosystem is healthy”.

We cannot deny that tigers are the largest species of cat and one of the most iconic animals on the planet. There may have been over 100,000 tigers roaming the planet a century ago. But gradually the number is decreasing and to stop the decline of tigers we celebrate International Tiger Day.

On 29th July, we observe International Tiger. Every year International Tiger Day is observed to highlight the world’s declining tiger population. The decline occurred in the twentieth century, and the number is thankfully on the rise again as a result of everyone’s ongoing efforts.

Several events every year are organised by animal organisations like WWF, IFAW, and the Smithsonian Institute. They support initiatives that work with regional people to protect tigers while also taking strong action against poaching and illegal trade. Save tigers as they too belong here.
