The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women was established by the United Nations General Assembly on November 25. Hence this day is observed globally.

The purpose of the day is to highlight how often the scope and true nature of the violence are hidden while also raising awareness of the fact that women are frequently the victims of rape, domestic abuse, and other types of violence.

Any form of violence is destructive, and as a society, we must work to put an end to it. It’s time to unite together and ensure the safety of our women.
