The Indian Navy Day is observed on 4th December to recognise the contributions and accomplishments of the Indian Navy. The day also serves to enhance public awareness about the Indian Navy and marks the beginning of Operation Trident against Pakistan during the Indo-Pakistan War in 1971.

The Indian Navy is a well-balanced, three-dimensional force that can operate above, on, and below the ocean’s surface while protecting our country’s interests.

Additionally, it seeks to improve conditions for itself in the Indian Ocean Zone. We must respect our Indian Navy for the efforts that they put in to protect our country.
