The Indian Coast Guard Day is celebrated on 1st February every year. This year marks the 46th celebration of the Indian Coast Guard Day.The Indian Navy is responsible to protect and guard India’s maritime interests.

In 1978, the Indian Coast Guard was established with only seven surface platforms. Since then, the organization’s inventory has grown to 156 ships and 62 aircraft.

According to the ICG, it has played a major role not only in securing the coast of India, but also in enforcing regulations in the waters of the country. It works closely with central and state agencies for a robust coastal security mechanism. We are proud and honoured to have such people who are selflessly working for our country.
