National Farmers Day is celebrated every year on 23 December as a national occasion. Its main objective is to focus on the upliftment of the condition of the farmers.

It is celebrated in the honor of former Prime Minister of India, Chaudhary Charan Singh. He was from a farmer family.This was the reason that he understood the issues of the farmers and hence, he tried his best to support them. When he became the Prime Minister of India in July 1979, he made many changes to improve the lives of farmers.

In India, National Farmers Day is celebrated annually on December 23rd to celebrate the tremendous work done by our farmers.
