Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia was born on the 23rd of March 1910 in Akbarpur village of Ambedkar Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh, India. His father Hira Lal, was a nationalist in spirit and a teacher by profession. Ram Manohar’s mother died when he was very young. He was an Indian activist and a leading socialist political figure. He was a popular political leader, a great thinker and a prominent freedom fighter of India.
