Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Lord Hanuman. This festival is celebrated on full moon day during the month of Chaitra. He was a devotee of Rama, a form (avatar) of Shiva. Hanuman is the symbol of strength, energy and devotion. He is worshipped as a diety with supreme powers and conquer evil spirits.
