Festivals have been made to reinforce strong bonds between families and friends, and Diwali is the best example for this. Everyone comes together to celebrate this festival with their closed ones. Diwali teaches us to be patient for good things in life.
Diwali is a five-day celebration that starts on Dhanteras and ends on Bhai Dooj. It occurs on the fifteenth day of the Kartik month every year. This year it will be celebrated on 24th October.
A few days before Diwali, people begin cleaning their homes by doing things like white washing, dusting, and painting. Real or artificial flowers and other ornamental items are used to decorate to our homes.
We light diyas and pray. Both Lord Ganesh and Goddess Lakshmi are worshipped. Relatives and close friends are invited. Desserts are made and shared with friends and family on this day. Everyone is dressed in new clothes.
We should avoid bursting crackers and celebrate this festival with happiness and positive approach.
